Dr. Kumar is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (Highest Honor of APA), and recipient of the 'Exemplary Psychiatrist Award,” and 'Excellence in Psychiatry Award.’ He feels honored to have received recognitions from various Federal, State and County government leaders including Commendation from Honorable Senator Daniel Akaka and Honorable Mayor Brian Baptiste of Kauai’s Proclamation of March 08
as “Dr. Krishna Kumar Day” for his professional achievements & community service.
For 39 years, he has been sensitive to the distress, turmoil and agony of patients, and is keenly aware that “It is not what you eat, it is what is eating you!”
